Workspaces

A workspace is the container for your data — your beans, gear, dial sessions and stats all belong to the workspace you're currently in. Everyone starts with a personal workspace, and you can create or join team workspaces to share everything with others.

Personal vs. team

  • Personal workspace — created automatically and only visible to you. It’s where your private dialing lives.
  • Team workspace — shared by multiple people. Great for a café, a roastery, or a group of friends dialing the same gear. Everything added while a team is active belongs to that team.
Active workspace
Only one workspace is active at a time. The active workspace decides which beans, gear and dial logs you see, and where anything new is saved. Switch it from the Workspaces switcher in the sidebar.

Create a team workspace

  1. 1
    Open Workspaces

In the sidebar, open the Workspaces switcher and choose “New workspace”.

  2. 2
    Name it

Give it a name and an optional tagline. A slug is generated so people can find it by search.

  3. 3
    Start adding

The new team becomes active. Add your beans and star the gear the team uses — it’s all shared instantly.

Adding members

There are two ways people join a team:

  • Invite — an owner invites an existing user by email from the workspace manage page. The person sees the invitation under their Workspaces list and accepts or declines.
  • Request to join — anyone can find a team via search and request to join. An owner approves or denies the request. If they were already invited, the request auto-joins.

Roles

OwnerCan edit the workspace, manage branding, invite and remove members, approve join requests, and delete the workspace.
MemberCan use all shared beans, gear and dial-in for the team. Can leave at any time.

Managing a workspace

  • Owners can rename the workspace, edit its tagline, and set up branding (logo + colors).
  • Owners can remove members or approve / deny pending join requests.
  • Any member can leave a team — their personal workspace is unaffected.
  • Owners can delete a team; this cascades and removes the team’s beans, sessions and shots.
Deleting is permanent
Deleting a team workspace removes all of its shared data for everyone. Members keep their own personal workspaces.
